Summary

The GDPR comes into force in May 2018, requiring organisations to put certain measures into place to protect the personal data of people who might use their services. Whilst article 30 of the GDPR exempts the operator of this site (https://moodle.cullaloe.net), this policy states what and how we use that can be considered data for the purposes of GDPR and what you can do to obtain a copy of it, or have it removed.

The GDPR comes into force in May 2018, requiring organisations to put certain measures into place to protect the personal data of people who might use their services. Whilst article 30 of the GDPR exempts the operator of this site (https://moodle.cullaloe.net), this policy states what and how we use that can be considered data for the purposes of GDPR and what you can do to obtain a copy of it, or have it removed. The following headings address key areas of relevance to GDPR:

  1. What information is collected. Usernames and email addresses are used to give you access to this site. You may complete additional information within your profile, including an image and contact details. 
  2. The purpose of all processing to be performed on the users data. The purpose of processing your data is to track engagement with the course elements in order to improve the service. There is no use of your data for marketing or other commercial purposes.
  3. The identity of the data controller and contact information - the data controller is Nick Hood. You may contact the data controller using the link within your profile on this site, or by using this contact form: http://cullaloe.net/contact/.
  4. List of rights You have a right to have your data removed from this site at any time.
  5. The period the data is stored your data will be removed from the site within a year of the completion of the associated programme of study, usually sooner.
  6. The mechanism for withdrawing consent is to contact the data controller (see 3. above) advising that your consent has been withdrawn.
  7. The mechanism for requesting corrections, or erasures of personal data is to contact the data controller (see 3. above) with details of the specific correction or erasure you are requesting.
  8. The mechanism for requesting a record of all personal data is to contact the data controller (see 3. above) requesting a record of your personal data.
